North Devon Camra Award
We are pleased to have
been awarded the North Devon CAMRA Pub of the Year 2009. We always stock a wide selection, primarily from Exmoor
Ales, but with plenty of local guest ales throughout the year.
In addition, the Beerfest gives us the opportunity
to try ales from further afield and we look forward to seeing plenty of Ale enthusiasts at this years event from 11-13 September
inclusive.
The award is judged by how the beer is kept and it is particularly pleasing to have won as it is CAMRA
members who vote for their favourite and we were up against some stiff competition from 27 other North Devon pubs.
Camra spokesman Chris Franks said the pub had
won the award because it served consistently good quality ales, with sympathy for local breweries, in a friendly atmosphere.
The pubs staff were also praised for being knowledgeable and providing good service.
